Prairie Tree
The bushes ran
around the dwelling
playing, in the last
of the evening sun.
The dwellers
back from the fields
rested after a long day
in the sun.
And the tree
the tall stately slender tree
proudly watched over
protecting with love.
Grateful she was.
They planted her
they nourished her
theirs she was.
